TAKING ACTION TO BE PART OF THE SOLUTION
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians, the Quandamooka people.
We also acknowledge and pay our respects to all Elders past and present , for they hold the
memories, knowledge, wisdom and lore of our ancient culture and heritage.

WHO WE ARE
Murri Court Launches 2016
Here at Bayside Community Justice Group, we are driven by prevention, intervention and deterrence; reducing the rate of recidivism by providing a community-based response to local issues, working cooperatively with Magistrates, QLD Police Service, legal services such as ATSILS, QLD Corrective Services personnel and staff from other government and non-government agencies.
Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive studies, quality data evaluation and cultural knowledge that is driven by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and Respected Community Members.

WHAT WE DO

MURRI COURT APPLICATIONS AND REFERRALS
From the passion of Elders, respected community members and the dedication of magistrates and services such as ATSILS; the court with the help of the community justice group coordinators provides access to culturally-competent service providers and referral pathways to address the underlying concerns and causes of each individual who is referred to Murri Court.

ABOUT US
Behind the Scenes
Here at Bayside Community Justice Group, we see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2006, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our not-for-profit organisation upon: prevention, intervention and deterrence through support, empowerment, resilience building and progress.
